Steve and I both work for the Greensboro Fire Department.  In 1982 we decided to work part-time together and decided on fire extinguisher sales and service, work that reinforced our career at the fire department.  The business quickly grew to the point that, in 1994, we opted to scale back from extinguisher service to the rescue equipment side of our business we had been developing as well.  Our business name changed from Central Fire Extinguisher to Modern Rescue & Safety Equipment.  Today our business has again grown greatly but Steve and I enjoy the work and the friendships we have made.
